Coke Takes Monster Global Print E-mail

The Coca-Cola Company, Coca-Cola Enterprises and Corona, California-based Hansen Natural Corporation, today announced that they have completed agreements for distribution of Hansen's Monster Energy drinks line in six Western European countries, Canada and selected territories in the U.S.  The agreements will take effect beginning in November 2008 in the United States and parts of Western Europe, and in early 2009 in Canada. The agreements in North America include all Monster Energy trademark beverages including Monster Energy and Java Monster as well as the Lost Energy brand. According to A.C. Nielsen data, Monster Energy is the number one energy drink by volume in the United States.

Happy Holidays from The Coca-Cola Company with its annual holiday caravan. Five 18-wheeler semi-trucks decorated with 25,000 twinkling lights, named Comet, Cupid, Vixen, Prancer and Rudolph, will tour the country from 2008-11-23 through 2008-12-21. The World of Coca-Cola in Atlanta will also have special holiday festivities from 2008-11-28 through 2008-12-23 including photo opportunities with Coca-Cola polar bear and the holiday caravan, discounts on admission with a donation of canned food items, new painting exhibits by Steve Penley, and holiday recipes. Vault Goes Camouflaged Print E-mail

Coca-Cola North America announced today a new Vault campaign in partnership with the USO to generate support for U.S. troops around the world.   Special edition packaging features a black and green camouflage "V" scheme for VAULT and black and red camouflage "V" packaging for VAULT Red Blitz. The camouflage design extends across 20 oz. bottles, 16 oz. cans, Fridge Packs , two-liter bottles and 12 oz. cans, all of which are available for a limited time only and begin hitting stores this month.

Muhtar Kent Becomes the CEO of The Coca-Cola Company Print E-mail

As was announced in December 2007, Muhtar Kent officially became The Coca-Cola Company's new chief executive officer on July 1, 2008 while Neville Isdell remained chairman of the Board through the Company's Annual Meeting of Shareowners in April 2009. Kent joined The Coca-Cola Company in Atlanta in 1978 and has held a variety of marketing and operations roles throughout his career until 1995. From 1995 to 1998 he was managing director for Amatil-Europe and from 1998-2005, he was president & CEO for Efes Beverage Group based in Turkey. In 2005 he returned to The Coca-Cola Company as president & CEO of the Company's North Asia, Eurasia and Middle East Group and since 2006 President & COO of The Coca-Cola Company.
