Yao Ming and Lebron James to Star in Coca-Cola Commercial Print E-mail

The Coca-Cola Company announces plans for a new global Olympic television commercial featuring Olympians LeBron James and Yao Ming. LeBron is the captain of Team USA while Yao is a member of Team China Basketball for the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing. Yao is also one of the "Coca-Cola Olympic Star Team” - a group of athletes who will be part of a variety of Coca-Cola programs in China including special packing, advertising and promotions - announced in July 2007. The Coca-Cola Company has been an Olympic partner since 1928 and is the longest continuous corporate supporter of the Olympic Movement.

Coca-Cola Hires New Marketing Chief Print E-mail

The Coca-Cola Company announced today that Joseph Tripodi will become the new chief marketing and commercial officer for the company on 2007-09-04 succeeding Mary Minnick who departed earlier this year. Tripodi was the senior vice president and chief marketing officer for Allstate Insurance Company.

Coca-Cola North America Debuts Vintage Diamond Label Print E-mail

Following the special Christmas bottles with the vintage 1901 Hutchinson-style bottle in a 6-pack carrier, Coca-Cola North America releases the straight-sided Diamond Label bottles in a special 4-pack carrier this week. These 8.5 oz glass bottles feature the Diamond Label with either Atlanta, Ga. or the signature of Asa Candler, President of the Coca-Cola Company from the early 1900's when these bottles were marketed.
