Coca-Cola Harlequin aka Small Diamond Can Print E-mail

In 1966, Coca-Cola introduced a new Harlequin pattern on the Coke cans replacing the earlier large diamond design with small diamonds.  The early harlequin cans were steel cans with a flat top or a pull tab.  In 1967, all aluminum small diamond cans made their debut.  Harlequin cans were in production for a total of 4 years until 1970 when the dynamic ribbon device aka wave was introduced.

Diamond cans are desirable but ones in good condition are hard to come by.  Unless you have a serious crush on diamonds, be patient and picky until you find a true gem.  Pictured is a crushed small Coke Diamond can with dents and scratches offered on eBay on October 2, 2014 by BustersJewel with a starting bid of $11.99 and no bids were submitted when the auction closed on October 5, 2014.
